Asia Cup from April 29

ISLAMABAD, May 28: Pakistan will host the 2008 Asia Cup cricket tournament from April 29 next year, said the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf on Monday.

Talking to the reporters here, Dr Nasim said the date of the contest’s commencement has been extended from April 24 to 29, 2008, on a PCB request, at an Asian Cricket Council meeting in Bangkok recently.

Six nations will compete in the Asia Cup – Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Hong Kong.—APP
