Justice Javed to be acting CJ

ISLAMABAD, May 26: Justice Javed Iqbal, the senior most judge of the Supreme Court, will take oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan on Monday. The oath will be administered to Justice Javed Iqbal by Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar.

The oath taking ceremony to be held at 9:15am at the Supreme Court will be attended by the judges, attorney general, advocates-general, registrar, law officers and senior lawyers of the apex court.

Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Rana Bhagwandas, will be leaving abroad on an official tour on Monday.—PPI
