Arms, drugs seized, 14 arrested

ATTOCK, May 23: Police have arrested 14 outlaws and recovered arms, narcotics and stolen items in different raids in Attock district. Akhori police patrolling post seized 8,700 kg stolen firewood from a truck and arrested three persons including truck driver Banaras Khan, Tariq Khan and Alam Khan at Attock-Fatehjang road on Tuesday night.

Police said that accused have stolen firewood from the Kalachitta government forestry.

Fatehjang police arrested two motorbike lifters and recovered a motorcycle (RIZ-8003) and arms during checking at Pindi road. The motorcycle was lifted from Rawalpindi. Jand police arrested three persons—Bashir Masih, Kabir Masih and Victor Masih—and recovered 250 gram hashish and 12 bottles.

Attock Khurd police arrested Yasir and Muhammad Umar and recovered 30-bore pistols.

Police arrested three other persons Rohullah, Ishfaq Khan and Tahir Aziz and recovered 215 gram hashish and fake currency notes of Rs6,500.—Correspondent
