PESHAWAR, May 23: Capital city police arrested seven proclaimed offenders and a number of narcotic dealers in an ongoing operation against anti-social elements here on Wednesday.

The operation was designed to purge the area of the presence of notorious elements.

Gul Mohammad, Sardar Jehan, Faqir Muhammad, Nasrullah, Azizullah, and Sajjad, an Afghan national, were among the proclaimed offenders and narco-dealers arrested during the operation.

Police also seized five Kalashnikovs, five hand-grenades, two pistols of 30 bore, 458 cartridges of different bores, 11 kilograms of charas and five bottles of liquor during the operation.—APP
