KARACHI, May 22: Three ships to load and offload containers and crude oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage. Eight ships, CMA CGM Aegean, Maersk Virginia, Tarpon Santiago, Sargodah, Bernice, Bunga Melati-4, Regent and Capt. George-L, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, rice, cement, edible oil, crude oil and iron ore.
A cargo volume of 90,968 tons comprising 65,383 tons of import and 25,586 tons of export tonnage was handled.
