SCBA body meets tomorrow

KARACHI, May 21: The Supreme Court Bar Association has convened an urgent meeting of its executive committee on Wednesday in Islamabad to make arrangements for its seminar on “Principles of Separation of Power and Independence of the Judiciary”. The seminar will be addressed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

According to SCBA executive member Syed Jamil Ahmed, the meeting will particularly discuss measures to relay the chief justice’s address to the legal fraternity. Invitations to the members of the diplomatic corps will also come under discussion.

The SCBA member said acting Chief Justice Rana Bhagwandas had given permission for the use of the SC Auditorium for the event. —Staff Reporter
