Fayyaz PLTA president

LAHORE, Feb 28: Fayyaz Bashir has been elected as president of the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA) Saturday.

Bashir A. Gill was retained as the PLTA secretary for the third consecutive time.

Later the general council meeting decided to hold three tournamnets in April included All Pakistan ranking tournament  at Faisalabad, Governor Cup at Rahim Yar Khan and All Pakistan Veterans tournamnet at Lahore.

The new office-bearers for the next term:

Patron’s-in-Chief: Syed Nasir Ahmed.

President: Fayyaz Bashir.

Senior-vice-president: Iftikhar Ahmed Rao.

Vice-presidents: Kamal-ud-Din, Pervez  Ahmed Bajwa, Amanullah Khan, Mian Navid Malik.

Secretary-cum-treasurer: Bashir A Gill.

Joint-secretaries: Mustafa Rimbay, Jalal Husain Khan, Asif Mahmood, Fayyaz Nazir.

Executive body: Dr Asghar Javed, Mian Zubair Anwar, Mian Ijaz Hyder, Rasheed Malik, Mohammad Shafiq, Mansoor Habib Waraich, Chaudhary Manzoor Ahmed, Naseem Husain Malik, Pervez, Ayub Farooqi, Mohammad Raza Farooq.
