MANSEHRA, May 17: Five people, two of them women, were gunned down and 12 others sustained injuries when a fight broke out between two tribes in Kala Dhaka on Wednesday night.

The Akhunkhel and Jawarkhel tribes have a dispute over a plot of land.

On Wednesday night, a jirga decided that the disputed land belonged to the Akhunkhels. The Jawarkhels refused to accept the verdict and allegedly opened fire at their opponents.

In the ensuing shootout three men and two women were killed and 12 others injured.
