GUJRANWALA, May 16: A trader and his two minor sons who were kidnapped for ransom by four armed men from Satellite Town about three days ago were released after paying Rs6 million ransom and reached home early Wednesday morning.

Khalil Ahmad and his sons Saud and Hamad were kidnapped when they were on way home from Satellite Town. The kidnappers demanded Rs15 million ransom. They took them to Tribal Areas and allegedly sold them. The family contacted the kidnappers and struck a deal with them.

Meanwhile, unidentified people phoned a big industrialist and demanded Rs1 million forced (Jagga) tax and threatened him that they would kill him and his children if their demand were not met.

The business community is in panic after threats from criminals.
