KARACHI, May 16: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Wednesday rescheduled the HSC annual examinations 2007 which originally were to start on May 22.

According to a notification, the exams will now begin on May 29. The Science (Pre-engineering, Pre-medical, Science General) and Home Economics groups examination will start on May 29 (morning shift) and for Commerce Group, the examination will start on June 2 (evening shift).

The revised date-sheet would be delivered to regular candidates through their respective colleges. The private candidates have been advised to collect the date-sheet from the Board Office within a week.

A total of 75,510 candidates will appear in the Science and Home Economics examinations for which 90 centres (50 for boys and 40 for girls) have been established.

For the Commerce Group examination, 62,726 candidates have been enrolled for whom 78 examination centres (53 for boys and 25 for girls) have been established.
