Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, May 16: Six vessels carrying containers, lube oil and rock phosphate are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where 11 ships including Caribbean Carrier to load cement, six container vessels and three oil tankers were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships which departed included Dimitris, Sinar Bandung, Norasia Alps, Eastmed Carrier, Addarraq and M. Can Bey, while Maersk Bristal, Dong Hua Men, Kapsali, Swat, Golina, Primrose Ace, Hyundai Advance and Corin Thaikos are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 0.155m tons comprising 18,345 tons of export cargo and 0.136m tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Sea Glory with lube oil, Iran Sattari, Ninos, Soon Fu, Conti Esperance with containers and C. Glaxy with phosphate.
