ISLAMABAD, May 15: President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have strongly condemned Tuesday's bomb blast in Peshawar which caused loss of precious lives.

Condemning the blast, the president said perpetrators of the heinous act would be brought to book.

He directed the provincial government to thoroughly investigate the incident and take strict action against the culprits.

The president appealed all Pakistanis to close their ranks and put up a united front to eliminate terrorism from the country.

Terming the incident a heinous act of terrorism, the prime minister said strict action would be taken against those involved in this act.

He asked the provincial administration as well as other law-enforcement agencies to launch a thorough investigation into the incident.—PPI
