PROTEST: President of the PPP Qambar-Shahdadkot district Ghulam Mujtaba Isran on Tuesday led a protest demonstration mourning the deaths of its party workers in Karachi on Saturday.

Protesters after marching on main roads gathered at the local press club and held the Sindh government and the MQM responsible for killings.

They condemned the partiality shown by Rangers, police and the government when disturbance claimed many lives. They called for registering case against the rulers and constituting a judicial inquiry committee.

The Awami Tahreek, the PPP (Shaheed Bhutto) and the Sindh Tarqi Passand Party (Organising Wing) also held demonstrations in Qambar on Tuesday and criticised the government for handling the situation.

WHEAT: The Deputy Director Food Larkana region, Maqsood Ahmed Sarhandi, on Tuesday said that wheat procurement target would be achieved by the end of May in Larkana region. So far, 37,010 metric tons of wheat had been procured against the actual target 5,000 metric tons fixed for Larkana region, he said.
