QUETTA, May 15: District Nazim of Mastung Sardar Kamal Khan Bungulzai has condemned the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) and intelligence agencies for raiding the houses of tribal elders in the Sariab area, a suburb of Quetta city, without fulfilling the legal requirements.

Speaking at a press conference at the press club here on Tuesday, Sardar Bungulzai, who is also the chief of the Bungalzai tribe, said that on May 12 ATF personnel entered into the houses of Haji Allah Dad Bungulzai, Malik Ghulam Qadir Bungulzai and Ghulam Nabi Bungulzai and made hostage the female members.

He said the ATF and intelligence agencies searched the houses without legal permission of the area magistrate and the district nazim, adding neither the ATF informed area police station nor lady constables accompanied them during the search of their houses.

The district nazim of Mastung said the Bungulzai tribal elders were respectable and peace loving citizens and maintained that being head of the tribe he strongly condemned the illegal act of ATF which created harassment in women and children.

Justice of the Balochistan High Court and the Provincial Police Officer to take notice of the excesses of the ATF and intelligence agencies in order to save them from wrath of the law enforcement agency.
