KARACHI, May 15: The administrator of the DHA along with artist Anjum Ayaz on Tuesday visited the Seaview beach and inspected the renovated sculptures, which were placed along Seaview some three years ago under the auspices of the DHA to beautify the beach.

The administrator appreciated the quality of work done by the artist and said the DHA would continue its effort to provide culturally and aesthetically refined environment to its residents.

A number of carved stone and metal sculptures made by Anjum Ayaz, placed along Seaview for its beautification, got damaged over a period of time in view of the hostile weather conditions.

Recently, the DHA got these artistically crafted sculptures repaired, renovated and resurrected by the same artist.

The three-dimensional sculptures depict marine life. The pieces placed at Seaview are largely non-figurative with an occasional bird or fish form, a boat and traces of beautiful calligraphy in Thatta and Makli stone work.—PPI
