Sindh govt announces holiday

KARACHI, May 13: The Government of Sindh on Sunday declared a public holiday throughout the province on Monday.

A statement issued here on Sunday night expressed the government’s deep grief and offered sympathies to bereaved families whose loved-ones were killed on Saturday and Sunday. It declared Monday (May 14) as a day of mourning for the loss of valuable lives.

The statement said that offices of all government, semi-government, autonomous institutions, schools, colleges and other educational institutions shall remain closed on May 14.
