KARACHI: CS visits JPMC

KARACHI, May 13: Sindh Chief Secretary Shakeel Durrani visited Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre on Sunday morning and enquired about the health of the persons who suffered injuries in Saturday’s firing incidents.

He assured the injured that the government would bear the expenses of their entire medical treatment.

Mr Durrani said each bereaved family would be given a compensation of Rs300,000 while the injured would receive Rs50,000 each.

The payment of the said compensation would be made within 24 hours, he said while giving Rs2,000 in cash to each injured.

The chief secretary, after the said visit, issued directive to the provincial secretary finance to immediately issue the sanction for making the payment of compensation.—APP
