MANDI BAHAUDDIN, May 9: The district bar association on Wednesday served cancellation of membership notices on 12 members, including four former bar presidents. Former bar chiefs Zahoor Gondal, Farooq Gondal, Fateh Muhammad, Safdar Nazir, and eight members, Shahid Muzaffar, Zafar Gondal, Feroz Khan, Usman Tariq, Ehsan Gondal, Naseem Gujjar, Zulfikar Mangil and Tariq Rao, had attended the rally of the Punjab chief minister on May 5.

Meanwhile, the DBA in an urgent meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Muzaffar Iqbal condemned the raid at the office of SCBA President Muneer A Malik in Karachi on Wednesday.

The meeting described the act of the Sindh government as an attempt to pressurise the lawyers.
