Birth of zebra at Lahore zoo

LAHORE, May 7: One of the three female zebras at Lahore Zoo has given birth to a healthy male foal.

The zoo houses one male and three female zebras at present. It had acquired one male and two female zebras from Belgium in 1983.

During the last 24 years, the number of zebras reached 16. Out of them, 10 had been transferred to various wildlife parks and zoos in the country for breeding purpose and two were sold. —Reporter
