NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 6: Several artistes carrying harmonium, yaktara and other musical instruments, took out a procession and marched in bazars and markets and observed a token hunger strike near the Moro Press Club on Sunday, demanding medical treatment to local drama director and writer Mohammad Siddique Parhiar.

They were led by renowned poet Rashid Morai, Sufi Singer Faqir Sodhal Laghari, Pak Young Citizen Alliance Chairman Moro, Shoaib Abbasi, writer Professor Dr Mohammad Laiq Zardari, singer Khadim Hussain Samoo, artistes Khair Mohammad Dahri, Ghulam Mustafa Chajiro and Shahzad Soomro.

They demanded of the Sindh cultural department to provide free medical treatment to Mohammad Siddique Parhiar and grant of stipends.
