GUJRANWALA, May 2: Women took out a protest procession against the arrest of Sibtul Hasan Shah alias Double Shah and raised slogans against the government and police in Wazirabad on Wednesday.

About 500 women gathered outside the residence of Double Shah in Allahabad and later paraded on GT Road. They were demanding immediate release of Double Shah and alleged that the government and police were responsible for the loss to the depositors.

They claimed that there was not a single complaint of fraud or cheating against Double Shah and he was making payments to the depositors regularly.

The protesters marched on the GT Road and Sialkot Road and reached tehsil courts from where they dispersed peacefully.
