ISLAMABAD, April 28: National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain on Saturday informed Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz about the government’s lack of interest against the opposition’s onslaught in the judicial crisis and other issues.

The prime minister was informed at a meeting that some ministers were not showing interest in the house proceedings while some were creating chaos.

The speaker said the treasury side had so far failed to challenge the opposition on various issues and had become a laughing stock on a number of occasions.

Both leaders discussed the issue of lack of quorum, the legislative agenda and other issues under discussion in the National Assembly in their meeting.

The parliament is a platform to express views on key national and international issues as well as the functioning of the government and matters of public interest, the prime minister said.
