ISLAMABAD, April 19: Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has hailed the appointment of Shoaib Malik as skipper and believes the all-rounder has the ability to motivate the side for future success.

In an exclusive telephonic chat from Lahore, the former skipper dubbed Shoaib as the right choice for leadership but added that it will take some bold steps from him to take Pakistan out of current crisis.

“Everyone should respect this decision and Shoaib needs full backing from players which, I am sure, he will get.”

Asked whether he would ever consider leading Pakistan again, Inzamam said: “No way. I just want to concentrate on batting in Tests.”—Agencies
