LAHORE, April 18: Following the alleged hooliganism and disruption of Pharmacy Fair by Islami Jamiat Tulaba activists, the Punjab University Deans’ committee on Wednesday decided that any student, who would be nominated as IJT nazim in any department or college or claims to be holding the political office will be expelled from the varsity.

The committee also decided that such action would be taken without issuance of any show-cause notice as it was tantamount to running a parallel administration in the varsity.

It also condemned the IJT activists for manhandling another pharmacy teacher, and using abusive language against varsity faculty members and female students of the pharmacy college.

The committee also passed a resolution, reiterating that no political activity would be permitted on the PU campuses.
