NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 15: A woman died of complications from gastroenteritis and some 50 other people from different villages were admitted to taluka hospital and private clinics with complaints of contracting the disease on Sunday in Moro.

Ms. Lal Khatoon, 40, wife of Mir Mohammad Bhutto, who lived in Bakhar Bhutto village died in Moro hospital while 50 including children, men and women from Jaisry, Ali Khan Bhutto, Chotech Hazar Mori, Bakher Bhutto villages were admitted to different public and private hospitals in the town.

Our Khairpur correspondent adds: Dozens of children have contracted gastroenteritis and chickenpox in Datoo Dasti, Allah Dino Solangi villages in Thari Mirwah taluka and its adjoining areas.

Reports said that at least 12 children in Hajana Shah, Rahoja, Baksho Wahan villages of Kingri taluka have contracted gastroenteritis.

They included Sohail Malik, Junaid Malik, Papoo Solangi, Saima, Farhan Ali, Khan Mohammad and others.

In Datoo Dasti, Allah Dino Solangi and Sui gas villages of Thari Mirwah taluka children including Asif Ali, Hameed, Kashif, Ahsan, Nadeem, Sajjad and Sain Bux, were hit by chickenpox.

The relatives of these affected children said that they were providing treatment to their children at private clinics.

BOOKED: Three people, including a UC nazim, were booked in the murder case of Ghulam Nabi Phulpoto here on Sunday. The FIR was lodged at the Shah Dino Phulpoto lodged with the B-Section police under section 302, 34 PPC for murder of Ghulam Nabi Phulpoto, Fazal Mohammad Marri, Zulfiqar alias Zulfo Marri and an unidentified person.

One of the accused Fazal Mohammad Marri is Nazim of UC Khanpur. No arrest was made till the filing of this report. The deceased was brother of Ghulam Hyder Phulpoto, General Secretary of PML-N Khairpur district.
