PESHAWAR, April 14: The police will intensify its anti-crime campaign to purge the city of anti-social elements, according to a senior police official.

SP (Rural) Abdul Karim Khan was addressing a meeting of local government representatives here on Friday.

The meeting was convened on the orders of Chief Capital City Police Abdul Majeed Khan Marwat.

He praised local government officials for assisting law-enforcement agencies in their drive against criminals and hoped that problems at the local level would be solved amicably.

He issued immediate orders on some of the problems pointed out by the Nazims.

Nazims also discussed the law and order situation in their respective areas

The police official said that the police had initiated a public liaison campaign, which would yield positive results soon.—APP
