KARACHI, April 12: Speakers at a demonstration on Thursday condemned federal minister Nilofar Bakhtiar for her “un-Islamic” behaviour and demanded that she be sacked immediately.

Speaking at the demonstration organized by Jamaat-i-Islami (women wing) at the Press Club, JI leaders Mohammad Hussain Mehenti, Laiq Khan, Yunus Barai, Durdana Siddiqui and others said that Ms Bakhtiar, by hugging a male, has humiliated Islamic values and Pakistani women and that she did not represent Pakistani women.

The protesters were chanting slogans against the federal minister and demanding her sacking and resignation. They were also carrying banners with their demands written on these.
