KARACHI, April 11: Speedster Shakeel-ur-Rehman grabbed six for 57 to help NWFP-Balochistan score a crushing nine-wicket victory over Sindh in the Pentangular Cup match at the National Stadium here on Wednesday.

Having conceded a first-innings lead of 97 runs, Sindh collapsed to 149 after resuming the third day of the four-day fixture at 41 for two in the second innings.

Only Shahid Qambrani, who made 69 off 119 deliveries with the aid of 11 boundaries, offered some sort of resistance. Otherwise, it was one-way traffic as Shakeel made inroads at regular intervals.

Apart from Shakeel, who finished with a match haul of nine for 121, paceman Faisal Irfan claimed three for 20.

Needing just 52, the combined regional side lost Yasir Hameed for 14 before Shoaib Khan Jr (21) and Janisar Khan (8) saw them home.
