GUJRANWALA, March 30: Union council nazims, who did not join the ruling PML, have been deprived of a grant of Rs8 million each for the uplift schemes announced by President Pervez Musharraf during his public meeting in the city on March 15. A source said the decision was taken on the directive of the Punjab chief minister.
But some nazims refused to join the PML and they were quoted as saying that they could not change their loyalty for funds and instead they termed it a political bribery.
