RAWALPINDI, March 30: A civil judge cum judicial magistrate of Gujar Khan courts, Sajida Ahmed Chaudhry, has been made an officer on special duty (OSD), according to the directives issued by the Lahore High Court registrar on Thursday.

Ms Chaudhry had been directed to immediately report to the LHC registrar in Lahore.

The civil judge grabbed the attention of the national media as she sat among the audience who were listening to the first public address of suspended Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Wednesday.

The chief justice was speaking to a large number of lawyers at the LHC Bar Association Rawalpindi chapter.

Lawyers across the country have been rallying to protest the presidential reference filed against the CJ on March 9.
