HYDERABAD, March 29: The Sindh chapter of the All-Pakistan Paramedical Staff Federation (APPSF) demanded on Thursday that the government should cancel what it claimed ‘illegal appointments’ in the government hospitals of Karachi and Hyderabad and warned it would move the court as a last resort if the paramedics’ children were not given jobs.
APPSF Sindh President Mumtaz Ali Jatoi and district president Mir Mashooq Ali told a news conference at the press club that the appointments of lower grade employees in the government hospitals of Karachi and Hyderabad were made on political basis and in utter disregard of merit.
They warned that if the government did not prefer the children of retired and deceased as well as in-service employees the federation would stage hunger strikes in all the districts.
