KARACHI, March 29: The joint opposition in the Sindh Assembly on Thursday submitted requisition for yet another session. The requisition has been signed by 44 MPAs belonging to Pakistan People’s Party and the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal.

Syed Murad Ali Shah, along with a group of MPAs, submitted the requisition with the office of the Speaker.

The issues enlisted in the requisition application include law and order, price hike, rigging in the recently held by-elections in Karachi (NA- 250) and PS-71 (Jamshoro) besides an armed attack on the vehicle carrying PPP MNA Azra Pechuho on the polling day and police’s refusal to register an FIR of the incident.

This is the third requisition filed by the joint opposition to discuss the same agenda. Although the assembly met on the two earlier requisitions, both the sessions were prorogued before the items on the order of the day could be taken up on the floor of the House. Another important item the opposition wants to take up is the privilege motion against Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim’s reported remarks against women in politics.
