ABL holds AGM

KARACHI, March 29: The Allied Bank Limited held its 61st Annual General Meeting on Thursday in which shareholders approved the accounts. According to an official statement, the shareholders of the bank adopted the annual accounts for the year 2006 and also accorded approval for the payment of 25pc cash dividend and issuance of bonus shares @ 20pc by utilising share premium account in the proportion of twenty shares for every 100 shares held.

The meeting was chaired by chairman of the board of directors Mohammad Naeem Mukhtar.
