CHITRAL, March 28: Two lady teachers were killed and one was seriously injured on Wednesday when a boulder from a nearby hill fell on their school in Broze village, which is about 15m south of Chitral city. Three lady teachers of the Zahoor Education Academy were having lunch in a room after school hours when the boulder rolled down from the hillock and fell on top of the school building. As a consequence the room caved in, killing the two teachers on the spot and injuring the third. She has been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
The school is owned by Maqbool Ilahi, the regional director of the Allama Iqbal Open University. One of the teachers who died was his wife.
No student was present in the school at the time of the accident.
