LAHORE, March 26: Grilling of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials over Pakistan’s disastrous faring in the Cricket World Cup will top the agenda in a meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Sports to be held at Islamabad on Tuesday at 11.00am.

President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Zafarullah Khan Jamali and a senior official of the Pakistan Squash Federation have also been summoned by the senators to appear in the meeting.

PCB chairman, Dr Nasim Ashraf, who had tendered his resignation after the astonishing defeat, will himself face the senators in the meeting.

Earlier, the senators were to question the PCB chairman over the delay in implementation of the constitution only but the national team’s dismal show in the mega event at the Caribbeans have taken precedence over all other sporting issues.

PHF president, Jamali, will be asked if he has made any specific plans for next year Olympics Games in China.

Though the PHF has appointed a new coach in former captain Islahuddin, it is yet to announce any specific plan for the games.
