FAISALABAD, March 26: The City District Government Faisalabad announced that it would take out a rally on Wednesday (tomorrow) in favour of President Pervez Musharraf’s decision against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. City district nazim Rana Zahid Tauseef said this while addressing a press conference here on Monday.

Spelling out the rally purpose, he said a wrong picture was being portrayed in the country by staging protest demonstrations against the president, but the people wanted to know the other side of the story.

He said some political elements were trying their utmost to politicize the purely judicial issue. However, our rally would prove that the people endorsed the president decision.

The rally, he said, would be brought out from the Zila Council building and like-minded advocates of PML lawyers’ wing, town nazims, union council nazims, councillors and people belonging to different segment of society would participate in it.

About the city’s master plan, the district nazim said the government had given an uplift package of Rs16 billion which would help develop its infrastructure and facilitate people enormously.

Holding out his assurance for the establishment of a high court bench in Faisalabad, he said the chief minister also promised in this regard.
