PESHAWAR, Feb 25: The NWFP Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Qari Roohullah Madani has called upon the people to understand the real philosophy of Eidul Azha which is the jubilation of success in offering sacrifices for the will of Allah and thus leave no stone unturned in welfare of the human being.

Delivering the Eid sermon at Eidgha here the other day, he asked the faithfuls to forge unity and cohesion in their ranks and work for progress and prosperity of the country. “We can emerge triumphant in the world and here after, if we acted upon the golden Islamic principles of patience and piousness to which Allah Almighty has promised great rewards”, Madani added.

He said the government was embarking upon the agenda of creating national solidarity and public wellbeing wherein active cooperation and support of masses could prove helpful in achieving the goals.

He was confident that like this Eidul Azha, country-wide unanimity would be created on the occasions of all Eids in future and the entire nation would observe Eids on the same days which is also the priority of the government.

He said efforts of the Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah towards achieving this end have proved very fruitful and solid steps were being taken in this respect.
