Two killed as bus hits trailer

KHANEWAL, March 25: A driver and a hostess were killed after a bus collided with a trailer on Multan-Khanewal highway near Peerowal, some 10 kilometres from here on Sunday.

Reports said the bus (LES-2144), heading towards Multan, collided with the trailer in an attempt to overtake it. Consequently, bus driver Haq Nawaz of Chiniot and hostess Sumera Ashraf died on the spot.

However, other passengers remained unhurt. Motorway police rushed to the spot. They handed over the bodies of victims to Khanewal Sadar police.

Police have started investigation.—APP
