KARACHI: Man shot dead

KARACHI, Feb 25: A man shot his next-door neighbour to death in Liaquatabad on Saturday.

Police said Asghar alias Mehnga recently came out of prison on bail in an attempt to murder case. He went to extend Eid greetings to his next-door neighbour Rahim Bakhsh alias Kangla, a bus conductor. Asghar and Rahim had arguments over a petty matter during which Asghar lost his temper. He pulled out a pistol and shot Rahim dead. Police were looking for Asghar.

In Chakiwara, a 14-year-old boy stabbed a 16-year-old boy to death on Sunday.

Police said Aurangzeb, aged 16, and Babar Ali, aged 14, were friends and both carried daggers.

Babar stabbed Aurangzeb to death over a petty matter. Later on, police arrested Babar.
