PESHAWAR, March 24: Scores of the People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) workers in Lakki Marwat district joined the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) expressing confidence in the central leadership of the party and ‘Saifullah Brothers’ for their contribution to the development of the district.

District leaders of the PPP, including Naik Wali Khan and Noor Wali Khan, announced joining the PML at a public rally held at the Nar Mohammad Ghaznikhel village in Sarai Naurang tehsil.

Addressing the rally, District Nazim Humayun Saifullah Khan said that their opponents were deceiving the masses with hollow slogans as the sitting MPA of the area did nothing for the welfare of the people in Sarai Naurang.

He said that even the incumbent elected MPA from the area failed to include his tehsil in the natural gas supply project.

Mr Khan said that the Lakki district government had taken various steps for the development of the district, whereas work on boys’ degree college, FEF degree college, science block, 132kv grid station and electricity supply schemes was in progress.

He assured the people of the area that Sarai Naurang tehsil would be included in the gas supply projects.—APP
