Walkout over CJ’s suspension

VEHARI, March 21: The members of district council walked out from the session as a protest against the suspension of Chief Justice of Pakistan here on Wednesday. Council members, including Zahid Anwar Wahla, Lubna Ehtesham, Shamaela Aslam and others, staged a walkout.

The district council condemned the government for attack on the judiciary and media. It vowed to continue protest till the restoration of CJP.

District naib nazim Yousaf Kasalia presided over the meeting, while nazim Syed Shahid Mehdi Nasim was also present on the occasion. However, they did not take part in walkout.
