TOBA TEK SINGH, March 19: A Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) member and Toba District Bar Association office-bearers have offered Rs5 million for the torn coat and broken glasses of suspended chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. In a press statement issued on Monday, PbBC member Mian Muhammad Afzal, DBA president Chaudhry Javed Aslam Kahloon and former DBA presidents Rai Muhammad Anwar and Iqbal Butt said that police manhandled the chief justice that left his coat torn and glasses damaged. They said they would offer Rs5 million for the coat and glasses and would display the items in the bar room as pride for lawyers and judiciary. They requested Justice Chaudhry to consider their offer.
