LAHORE, March 18: English bay filly Grecianette displayed all the characteristics of a street fighter to win the Mountain Dew Eclipse Stakes Of Pakistan cup, ran over 2000 metres, during the Lahore Winter Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Running in the silks of Syed Parvaiz Hussain Shah, the filly was given a splendid ride by jockey Shahid Rehman from an inside draw to win by two lengths from Go With The Wind after fighting a tough battle.

Miss Thailand lost stamina and finished third with Dexterity coming fourth to complete the frame.

In the fifth race, favourite colt Tipu Sultan landed the Pepsi Cup which ran over 1600 metres. Owned jointly by Syed Parvaiz Hussain Shah and Munir Ahmad Dar, the colt triumphed by six lengths from Flying Pet.

Shahid Rehman rode Tropical, Grecianette and Tipu Sultan to win second, fourth and fifth race respectively.

Four favourites won in a card of six events except fourth and sixth races.
