VEHARI, March 18: A man was killed and 15 others injured in a road accident here on Sunday on Vehari-Luddan Road.

Reports said a front tyre of a Vehari-bound wagon (KB-3813) burst near Luddan as a result of which it overturned.

A passenger, Allah Rakha, died on the spot while 15 others, including a woman, suffered injuries and were admitted to Rural Health Centre, Luddan. Two passengers were shifted to Vehari DHQ hospital due to their critical condition.

The injured have been identified as wagon driver Shehbaz, Muneer, Anwar, Rashed, Nazir, Rafiq and Sardaran Bibi.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.
