LAHORE, March 17: The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) on Saturday announced that the strike against the suspension of Chief Justice of Pakistan would continue till the end of military regime.

PBC vice-chairman Ali Ahmad Kurd said that from Saturday onward the lawyers would boycott the courts and observe token strike of one hour all over the country and hold protest meetings and organise hunger strike camps.

He also announced that on March 21, the legal fraternity would observe countrywide strike and completely boycott the courts besides holding protest rallies.

Condemning the police action, he said police attacked on lawyers on the LHC premises.

He said the military rulers had taken over parliament seven years ago and now it had tried to ‘conquer’ the judiciary.
