Eight die in accident

QUETTA, March 15: Eight people were killed and nine others injured when a passenger wagon collided with a truck at the RCD highway near Winder, some 550km off here, on Thursday.

The victims included three women, Uthal police said.

The sources said that the wagon was on its way to Karachi from Awaran when it met with the accident near Winder.

"All the eight people travelling in the wagon were killed," police said, adding that nine others suffered injuries, who were taken to the civil hospital.

The victims were identified as Kalimullah, Mohammad Khalid, Manzoor Ahmed, Sakhawat Khan, Salman Khan, Zar Naz, Mah Bibi and Farah Bibi.
