PARACHINAR, March 15: Two children were killed and six others wounded, two of them critically, when an explosive device exploded inside a house in Serpakh area of the Central Kurram Agency on Thursday.
Official sources said that the device exploded in the kitchen of the house when the family was preparing food.
Two children died on the spot. They have been identified as Shehnaz (7) and Fazl Haq (10).
Six other family members were wounded. Two seriously wounded persons were shifted to Peshawar for treatment.
The sources said that the exact cause of the explosion could not be ascertained but it was probably caused by some metal scrap lying in the compound.
