KARACHI, March 14: Pakistan and Kazakhstan should exchange trade delegations and also hold single-country exhibitions to explore vast scope of trade opportunities existing for the business communities of both the countries.

This was stated by the ambassador of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Aitmurzaev, at a luncheon meeting, organised by the chairman, Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum, Shaikh Manzar Alam, here on Wednesday.

He further said there was a greater need to exchange information, as well as business delegations, and only then both the sides would be able to know each other better and promote business and investment relations.

Mr Aitmurzaev said there was a great demand for Pakistani products in the CIS states.

The envoy suggested that both the countries should provide travel facilities to their businessmen and also provide assistance in establishing business centres and export houses to promote trade relations.

Shaikh Manzar Alam said Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum is working on promotion of two-way trade and also exploring investment opportunities in both the countries.

He said the forum is seeking permission from the Kazakhstan government to allow Pakistani exports en route to other CIS states to have a free passage from their country.

Manzar Alam said there were lots of opportunities for Pakistani pharmaceutical sector to invest in Kazakhstan.
