KARACHI, March 13: Five ships carrying containers, edible oil, furnace oil and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, five more ships with containers, iron ore, edible oil and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Eight ships, Maersk Missouri, MSC Caria, Samho Heron, Al-Mukhtara, Pangaia, Tai Prosperity, Oriental Miho and Capt George-L, were occupying berths and were busy in loading and unloading various commodities.

A record cargo volume of 0.105 million tons comprising 0.093 million tons of import and 0.012m tons of export tonnage was handled.
