Girl goes missing

LAHORE, March 10: A daughter of an army officer was reportedly kidnapped from Liberty Market in Gulberg area here on Saturday evening. Rescue 15 police received a call from a woman who introduced herself as the wife of a brigadier.

The caller informed the police that she along with her young daughter came to Liberty Market by a car to buy medicines. She said the girl went to a medical store but did not return.

She apprehended that her daughter might have been kidnapped.

When contacted on his cell phone, Gulberg SHO Ashraf Chadhar said he was with the victim’s family and seeking details about the incident.

It could not be ascertained whether the girl was kidnapped for ransom or for some other reason. — Staff Reporter
